Sunday....January 18, 2015.....

Its been a busy weekend but a joyous one at that.  Oh the fame lolololol.  Yesterdays polar plunge has plunged me into the front page of our local newspaper!  Finding my "Rhythm" thus far in 2015 to be blissful.  Both the fast and the slow of it all.  Taking it all in one day at a time.  Listening the rhythm of our life in all that it has to offer.  Never liking the beat of my own drum any better than this year thus far.  Today woke slowly.  The sun shining.  Lumberjack made a trip to his work to take some things into the dumpster and return a work vehicle.  We have been given all of the old barnwood we want from a friends old dairy barn and the work van makes it nice to haul it.  Onced he got home I had the house completely cleaned for the day ahead.  We ate some lunch together, had a cup of coffee and set outside to work on clearing a little more of the woods.  He wanted to work a little more on the woods and I set off on a mountain walk with the little man.  Rain came quickly as did the Lumberjack to save the day...and my hair and clothes!  Home and rested before the entire family came.  We wanted to set a new standard/tradition here on the farmstead.  To celebrate birthdays onced a month when there was one.  This month we had two we celebrated.  In making new traditions I made a gorgeous burlap and fabric birthday banner.  Hoping to use this every celebration throughout the years to pass to one of the girls.  We give each birthday individual their choice of celebration foods...James chose an apple pie made from said farmers we were given the barn wood as he loves her apple pies....Cassies choice was a local bakeries cupcakes....chocolate with vanilla frosting...from Cindys Sweets.  Both were delicious and the company was priceless.  The noise...the mess when they are gone...I would not trade it for absolutely anything in the world.  Well time to settle in with the Lumberjack and the pups for some television time.  Thinking a date night is in order and possibly through the week to see the movie "American Sniper" and a trip to Everything Cheesecake for dessert.
Be well,
Lisa
