Monday.....September 15, 2014...

A few updates at the Farmstead....We officially moved in on Friday.  We nearly froze to death no kidding the first night.  Didnt take long until Larry finished the entire ceiling insulation and we are now more than halfway done with the wall insulation as well.  The boys and the families came on Sunday and they managed to get the entire utility room under roof.  Now waiting on my plumber brother to get there to do the rough plumbing.  The composting toilet im totally cool with...the outdoor solar shower is a whole other story!  Very much looking forward to having the rain water system and hot water heater complete!  Larry hung some cabinets to make things a little more convenient for me to work in the kitchen.  The pups are settling in well.  And the internet service comes one week from today.  Some pics from the last couple of days...

                                                       FOR TODAY

Outside my window....Very grey sky but thankfully so much cooler

I am thinking....How such little time I have left for the flip flops....but I HAVE  picked out the new boots!

I am thankful.....For lunch dates with the Husband.  Its the only thing I will miss onced we move!

In the kitchen.....Absolutely nothing until FRIDAY!!  Packing and sorting is taking way too much time.

I am wearing........A pair of the softest and most comfy light blue skinny jeans and a flowy silky grey tunic and flip flops!

I am creating....Still working on the navy cardigan but ready to start a quick knitting project while working on it.

I am going....To be purging more than I originally thought with all of the unpacking.

I am wondering.....If the electric will be completed by move in day on Friday.

I am reading....nothing at the moment.

I am hoping....The warm temps stay away at least until we DO have electric for the ac.

I am looking forward to....MOVING ON FRIDAY!!

Around the house....Chaotic mess unpacking one box at a time.

I am pondering....Those new boots I am so very very anxious to order!!

One of my favorite things.....Evenings outside with a nice drink.

A few plans for the rest of the week.....Coffee and shopping with the girls, An afternoon with my sister, A special dinner date with the Husband, Moving day, Mother earth festival, and quite possibly finding a new church in a new town!

A peek into my day....

Cardigan on the needles!

Saturday....September 6, 2014....

About to crash into bed.  But first a whole lot of pics from the work we did today.  Put a porch light which seemed to somehow make things a little more official.  Put in a new window for some cross ventilation.  Really really glad we did as I can see up the hill to the barn from the cottage now.  James and Katie came and were such a huge help.  Larry and James completely framed out the bathroom.  So excited to be getting indoor plumbing before we actually move in.  I would have trekked up the hill to the barn but im so glad I dont have to now.  Well worn completely out and headed to bed until more work onced again tomorrow!
Be well,
Lisa

Friday....September 5, 2014...

Feeling a bit un-nerved the last few weeks with so many things happening at onced.  Spent the day relaxing and spending time in the word.  Met with a very dear kindred soul this evening.  My spirits are lifted and im ready to face the next couple of weeks....then another dinner date will fix things onced again.  lol. Dinner at a new to us restaurant...Cafe Bruges.  The best beer selection and the dessert was pretty amazing too!  Headed to bed to rest up for the rest of the weekend.
Be well,
Lisa

FOR TODAY

Outside my window...Bright sunny skies that are FULL of humidity.

I am thinking...How much I am longing for FALL.

I am thankful...A new grandbaby to be born in April and praying hard for MORE and soon!

In the kitchen...A pot of chili even though its way to hot to eat let alone cook.

I am wearing...Yoga clothes!

I am creating...Finally the home!

I am going...To be on the road alot over the next few weeks.

I am wondering...How we will ever get it all done.

I am reading...The word only at the moment.

I am hoping...To be settled in by winter.

I am looking forward to...Time with family over the weekend.

I am learning...To think before speaking.

Around the house...A MESS !

I am pondering...Not much these days.

A favorite quote for today..."And at the end of the day your hair should be messy, your feet dirty and your eyes sparkly" ~Shanti

One of my favorite things...The sound of locust in the heat of summer.

A few plans for the rest of the week:....Many trips to the property, Holy Yoga, Dinner date with a friend, celtic music on the mountain in one of our all time favorite spots.

A peek into my day...
Holy Yoga.  A new form of yoga to me but I am truely in Love!

Monday....September 1, 2014....

So much work was completed today and yet so much more to do!  Larry finished insulating the ceiling in the living room.  Now onto the kitchen.  Planted more rock plants in the bank beside the house and the two crepe myrtles at the gate entrance.  Also planted another plant on the hill at the entrance.  Hoping to get some straw and more grass seed and finish the gated entry this coming weekend.  Also cut down a few trees in the back yard woods.  Hoping to get that area done enough to enjoy the chair hammock in time for fall.
Be well,
Lisa

Sunday...August 31, 2014...

Finally we made our way to church onced again.  Felt like forever.  To Cassie, Karl, and Keiras church that is.  We are so very excited to begin the journey of finding a home fellowship onced we actually move.  After church we met all of the family in Hancock Md for a 6 mile bike ride on the rails and trails.  The weather was extremely hot and quite humid but it was a beautiful ride.  Afterwards we had dessert at a local new restaurant.  One that we will definately be visiting often as the menu is quite nice!  Back to the house to relax for the evening.  More time on the property working tomorrow.
Be well,
Lisa
