So here is where it seems I am to bear my soul. Here on this little blog where seeming very few can see my flaws and raw emotions. We spent the entire day today on the property. We are at the point of finishing touches on the goat barn. Two more weeks and it will be complete and we will be moving onto the chook coop. We put the divider between the barn, larry hung a cabinet for me in the milking room side, started working on the rain water system on the loafing side, I finished staining the entire barn, and we put up one panel of fencing. Things are coming together and we are very thankful for every piece of wood and every nail we hammer but I am worn a little today. Feeling a bit emotional. Like just thinking of all that has yet to be done. The cottage structure will be here in less than 8 weeks and I cannot stop my mind for worrying and thinking of all the things that both financially and physically will need to be done. We are so very used to our days being spent without worry or concern. Breezing through summer enjoying bike rides, mountain hikes, picnics, festivals and just touring local new to us towns, breweries, distilleries, wineries and restaurants. These things need to just not be enjoyed so much this summer with all of the work and expenses involved in this dream. I knew this going into it really I did. And im not complaining really. I am so thankful we have come to the point of onced was a dream now turning reality. Im just a little tired I suppose. Things will come together and someday I will look back here even and see how it all fell together one piece at a time. Till tomorrow.....

The Thyme has come! This next season of our lives promises to be full of plenty of ups and downs and much physical, mental and emotional work. Larry and I are setting out to the desires of our hearts and the calling of Yashua! We have had this dream in our hearts for many years and we are arriving at the door of opportunity. With the children grown and married and us still young we are going full on in the spirit of faith. Come along and enjoy the Wild Thymes ahead with us!

Friday....July 4, 2014....
Happy July 4th!!! Woke way to early here. Larry was able to sleep in and that made me happy though. My sister drug me along to some mile long yard sale in Hagerstown. It was insane! I am not a die hard yardsaler. Love me some thrift stores and antique malls but yard sales are just not my thing! I did enjoy spending the day with her though. The only thing I bought for myself is a vintage bread box! Firefly made out some though. A new skateboard swing for her new tree house her daddy is building and some great poly pocket treasures. Larry and I made a trip onced again to Lowes...I only miss working there when I have to spend money there! Tomorrow will be a trip onced again to the property. We are hoping to complete the outside of the barn. This evening I dug another row of the garlic...only about ten more to go! I really have missed having a garden this year. We planted the garlic in October of last year. There are two things that I absolutely love about gardening....planting garlic in October and harvesting it in July. There is nothing I like more than seeing the garlic hanging to dry in the barn! Very thankful we planted it last year. We will also be planting it again this October on the property. The only other things we planted were some peppers, one tomato plant, a few zuccini and a few yellow squash. Dinner this evening was sauteed yellow squash and fresh garlic. All from the yard! Packed up a few more goodies this evening for the storage unit while Larry built me a few more raised beds for the bramble patch tomorrow.

Thursday.....July 3, 2014.....
Its been a busy couple of days. Wednesday found me taking the inlaws to a court hearing. Then some retail therapy for myself. Found the most amazing linen dress, a pair of silk pants and a lace tank top at Marshalls! Lordy I love that store. Then Larry got an awesome deal on some treated lumber. A HUGE truck full for only 40 bucks. Of course that meant an impromptu trip to the property to drop it off. Then today was a huge day for errands. Bought some dress patterns at JoAnns. $1.40 each!! AMAZING. Home for a small break then back out to meet a friend for coffee at Nathan Millers. So neat to have a chocolatier so close by. Not as mysterious as Johnny Depp in Chocolat...but hes pretty cool just the same. Home and headed to bed. A busy weekend ahead!

Yarn Along.....
Just took the Reiki hat off the needles. Its soft and warm. Not necessarily needed...YET! I absolutely love it. It is a little loose so I will gather it a little to tighten it. The thing I love most about it is that it fits so amazingly over my ears. Definately going to love it over the winter. Just started another hat pattern on the needles today. As for the book of choice...I had to stop the last one. I just couldnt get into it. Fortunately though the newest Amazon order came in the mail. Nourished Kitchen is in my hands now and I cannot seem to put it down. Really looking forward to delving into the recipes onced we are moved and settled in a bit.

Monday.....June 30, 2014.....
H-O-T!!! Blasted hot out! Took all three dogs for their individual walks today and even they were happy to get home and back into the ac. I even dislike cooking on hot days. A typical Monday here. Laundry, house cleaning and knitting with a good movie. Finished a knitting project and ready to start another tomorrow. The mailman made my day though. An amazon order! A new essential oil carrying case and the Nourishing Traditions Book! AMAZING book! Wont be putting it to much use until we get moved but there is so much to read, look and contemplate! Everything is watered for the day and we are quickly winding down for the evening. Treated us to some Talenti Gelato this evening. Raspberry Chocolate to share with my love!

Sunday....June 29, 2014....
It was a hot humid and tiring day. We finished the sides of the barn completely. Stained the front and put wire in the door window. Larry and James also made the two barn doors for the loafing area of the barn. I didnt get that stained yet so only took a pic of the front. It seemed like the work took an extra amount of time and effort. Hoping things go faster next week. Also, we planted the Rhubarb in the bramble patch. Home showered and just plain done for the evening.

Saturday.....June 28, 2012....
We did it!!! Milestone number two down. There are four major milestones in this move. Basically the first four things that need to be done before we can actually move into the cottage. And as it would be they are all actually the ones that require the largest amount of cash out of our pockets at any one time. We bought the 14x40 wooden structure from Esh's Buildings. Picked the colors and placed the doors and windows. This building will essentially be four walls, roof, floor, windows and doors. The entire rest is up to us one step at a time. This space will in the end be the living room and kitchen. All an open floor plan. The first thing to do onced the building arrives will be to have the electric company bring in the electric, our electrician wire up the entire building and bring the elec from the pole to the house. Also we will have to immediately put on an addition for the bathroom and utility room off the back of the building. Onced all of this is finished we will move into the big open room, the side of the kitchen. Yes we will be living in an unfinished space while finishing the rest. It will be difficult at times and frustrating im sure. But we are ready for the next phase. Living here already feels like we are away from home. But were together and thats all that really matters. Speaking of being together. Last night Larry and I went out to celebrate the event! First stop...a civil war era barn turned into a micro brewery. Beer was fabalous...music was so good. She was a young band and full of energy. They had pit bbq and it was amazing with the beer. Headed then downtown Gettysburg to walk in the early evening and enjoy being outside with lots of people. Stopped at the Dobbin House for their famous Rum Bellies drink and hot gingerbread with a lemon sauce. The atmosphere in the tavern in the basement is absolute amazing! Always a favorite. On our way back to the truck Larry treated me to one last thing...A CARRIAGE RIDE AT NIGHT!!! One I will never forget. Well tomorrows a busy day at the land. Hoping to get the barn stained and windows screened in.
